Rainy Days

Neighborhood kids were playing basketball out in front of their houses, when the rain starts to pour. All of a sudden, the street was empty - kids scattered to their own houses. As I watched all the kids run to their houses, I wanted to go run out in the rain and play.

As I watched the rain drops on the walkway of the house, I started reminiscing of those rainy days when I was growing up. I remember every time it rains, whether my brothers and I were inside the house, we would go outside and meet the rest of the neighborhood kids out in the plaza (the plaza consists of a stage, little pond and basketball court) the boys will be playing basketball and the rest of the neighborhood kids will be running around the plaza chasing each other playing tags or whatever games we can think off and jumping in on water puddles. We would be playing out in the rain until the rain stops. When rain stops or even before the rain stops, the parents will be calling their kids and hand them shampoos and soap so they can take a bath in the rain. Ahhh childhood memories. I missed playing in the rain.

It's weird how kids here run inside the house when it starts raining, while back home kids would run outside while it pours and play in the rain. For some reason, when a person get rained on here, they end up getting sick; while back home kids stay in the rain till it stops and don't get sick. I guess because of the lightning and thunder that's why no one go out when its raining.
