Love the Live TV

What a crazy day at work today and it started at 4:27AM our first news update of the day.Thirty seconds right before we go on air, we found out that both anchors mic were dead even though there's new battery put in it. So we went to do weather update first while I was hassling trying to give one of the anchor another mic, but found out that the mic I gave her is also dead. Seconds later, I was told that the other anchor's mic is also dead. Meteorologist had to stretch his weather segment until I can give another mics to the anchors, which required me to go under the anchor desk and grab the hard wire mics and hand it to them. Whew, made it in the nick of time cause the meteorologist were running out of things to say (Suchan can only talk about hot weather for so long). All this happened just in that 3 minute news update. Right after the update, production crew started figuring out what went wrong with the wireless mics, all this while trying to get scripts and taping a minute and a half of weather update to go online. The anchors ended up using the hard wire mics for the first couple of block while the engineer fixed the problem, which was the receiver. If that problem wasn't enough, in the middle of the show, Ginger's (anchor) light underneath the desk burnt out, and i had to go under the anchor desk again and see what's wrong with it. During the break, I managed to change the bulb with 5 seconds to spare before going back on air. After I finished changing the bulb, Janie (fill-in anchor) told me that her computer is not working. Again during the break, I had to go under the anchor desk again and try to figure out what's wrong with it making sure that all the plugs where plugged in. Every break we had, I go under the desk and try to figure out what's wrong with it, in the mean time Janie heads to the control room and use the computer in there. Finally, last block of the first hour, the director came out and he tried to see if he can fix the computer, and voila its fixed. Of course all this time, producers were trying to locate the engineer on duty. Of course the second hour went smoothly after we went through all the problems in the first hour.
