California Vacation

This is my first visit ever to California. Had a great time hanging out with my relatives and taking a tour of San Francisco. Its funny, my cousins said that some if not all the places we went to go visit, they haven't been even though they lived there their whole life. Only place we didn't get a chance to tour is the Alcatraz. We didn't know that we need to get tickets way ahead of time, so we just admire it from afar. As soon as we got of the plane for CA, we made it our mission to go to Starbucks first - we were needing some caffeine, and we were surprised that we didn't find Starbucks at LAX, where we had lay over for 3 hours. Let me just say if ever at LAX and looking for food to eat, don't go to Ruby's Diner because we bought 2 burgers 3 drinks for $30 and that's without fries either. It does though have the best seat in the house...NOT!!!

Then off to San Francisco we go! It felt so nice walking out of the SF terminal, temperature was 58 degrees funny thing, my uncle and cousin were wearing long sleeve shirts and jacket when they picked us up, while we were wearing tshirts and jeans. First stop was Starbucks cause there is no Starbucks at the terminal in LAX that we were in. From Starbucks, to my cousin's house and off we go to start our tour of SF. Fisherman's Wharf was our first touring destination: ate at chowder and then walked around taking pictures here and there. As it gets later and later, it was getting colder and windy -so my uncle bought me a sweater cause my sweater was in the car.
Second day we were up around 630AM westcoast time (weird) and off we go to downtown SF, union center, ate breakfast across Tiffany's, shopping and walked around. Went to the golden gate, Lombard street, Japan town to shopped some more, ate dinner at china town. Third day we're off to wine country had lunch outside picnic style, wine tasting, bought wines; Muir woods was our next stop. Had dinner at a new restaurant (ate sushi) and back home for a surprise birthday for Pam (sis-in-law) - yea she was surprised and so was my uncle. Next day went to go visit the family, had lunch at another Japanese restaurant buffet; off to the mall we went, Serramonte Mall a.k.a. "Manila Town." We shopped, bought some Filipino shirts and hats. It was a quiet fourth day, had dinner at the house. Fourth day left the house a little bit later, bought some Goldilocks breads. Our last dinner with everybody before we leave the next day - Alameda Italian food. Friday our last day in SF, we finished packing, one of my uncles came to the house for a visit and our last meal in SF was what I call fine dining - Costco for chicken bake and frozen yogurt. Went back home to get luggage and said our goodbyes. Off to the airport we go but had to stop at another mall to pick up my aunt and then to the airport we go. I think my uncle didn't want us to go because he keeps going to arrival instead of departure and the funny part he works at the airport., hahaha!! Flew from SF to LAX with three and a half hour lay over; didn't make the same mistake we did the first time we had lay over at LAX; we had McDonald. The night before we happened to watch Jersey Shore, and guess who we saw at LAX - yep the cast of Jersey Shore and let me just say they are all short and the guys are all buffed. After all the excitement, we got on the plane @ 12:10AM; off we go to sunny, hot, humid Florida. We missed the sunshine cause it was foggy and cloudy most of the time we were in Cali.
